1. Lawful business use

You may use the Services only for lawful business purposes and in a way that does not violate applicable laws, third-party rights, platform rules, or contractual obligations.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

  • Fraud, impersonation, deceptive business practices, phishing, malware, credential theft, or unauthorized surveillance.
  • Content that unlawfully infringes copyrights, trademarks, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
  • False or fabricated reviews, credentials, licences, certifications, prices, guarantees, locations, or other material business claims.
  • Unlawful discrimination, threats, harassment, exploitation, or content that facilitates serious wrongdoing.
  • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to accounts, infrastructure, customer data, or third-party systems.
  • Abusive automated traffic, deliberate resource exhaustion, or circumvention of security and rate limits.

3. Messaging and outreach

Messaging features must not be used for unlawful spam, deceptive sender identities, purchased lists of uncertain provenance, or continued contact after a valid opt-out. Customers remain responsible for the legality of their own marketing programs and contact lists.

4. Customer and lead data

Do not upload or collect data you are not authorized to process. Sensitive information should only be collected where genuinely necessary, lawful, and supported by appropriate safeguards. The standard local-business website product is not intended to become a repository for unnecessary highly sensitive data.

5. Platform integrity

You may not reverse engineer, probe, scrape protected portions of, disrupt, resell unauthorized access to, or use the Services to attack The Bit Sprout or third-party infrastructure except where expressly permitted by law and written authorization.

6. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may restrict or suspend affected functionality where reasonably necessary to protect users, infrastructure, third parties, or legal compliance. Where practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Serious security, fraud, or legal risks may require immediate action.

7. Reporting misuse

Report suspected misuse, infringement, or security concerns to legal@thebitsprout.com. Provide enough detail for us to investigate without sending unnecessary sensitive information.
